Does it work? Yes. It does. I have a pretty good router and it could tell when I dropped the sensor in the water when the router was up and the sensor was about 40 feet from me and down - with a few walls in between. It's good. Notification options: Notification by phone, SMS, call(!), email. Good.Bad: The app is not very good. Assembly instructions are missing. Frozen a few times. They asked for a lot of information unrelated to the operation of the device - just for the crop (their contract is DEBT). When I try to change alarm settings, the app gets blocked. When I closed and reopened it, the changes were made. As far as I can see you can only set up a phone number and an email address. You can't turn off the physical alarm and flashing light on the unit, which is very bad as it drains battery power and the sensor isn't where I would be here anyway. For testing purposes, it's good to know that you won't be alerted to subsequent alarms unless you clear the previous alarm. So be sure to clear the last warning in the app. To set it up: maybe it's just me, but to verify my email I tried to verify it in Gmail on my computer, not my phone and it doesn't work. You'll need to confirm this in your phone's Mail app.
