After repainting our long hallway with a 90º turn and just two overhead lights, these bulbs lit a windowless hallway twice as brightly as a CFL. Remember that this is a "daylight" temperature that produces very white light, not a "warm" heat temperature. That's why the Heat rating is only 3 stars. Reordered this bulb to replace the one in the hallway chandelier. Dimmer. They work well except in the middle of the power range; the bulbs will pulse at this power level. We keep the lightbulbs on max or min and we have no problem.
