Yes, it's a rewritable DVD. So yes, you can delete as much data as you like and add new ones. He tends to write a little slowly. But I knew it was 2x when I bought it. So there is no real surprise. Hey, it's cheap. I only use it for data, haven't tried playable DVDs yet. Works perfectly. Just slow burn. No other problems. Edit: I've since figured out why it's so cheap. Most new DVD recorders no longer record at 2x speed. I guess I'm lucky, my computer is old. Before you buy, make sure your burner can burn that slowly.
