As reviewer Yunong Son noted, this didn't work on my 2008 Mazdaspeed3. I've had exactly the same experience as him. I installed this to get rid of the OBDII P0401 code - an inefficient EGR flow that I was able to fix after about 60,000 miles by simply deleting it. I now have 122,000 km and cleaning did not help. So I checked what the OEM cost and it was over $300. I thought I'd take a risk here and save a little, but it didn't work out. After installation, CEL disappeared for about 2 days and then reappeared. I reset it with my OBDII code reader and it came back a day later. Did this about 6 more times until I retired, ordered and installed a Mazda OEM L3K920300B. No more CELs after installing an OEM component that is identical in build quality and design to this Dorman. They're practically indistinguishable from one another, but I assume Yunong was right that the electronics are probably miscalibrated for the Mazdaspeed3 (or CX-7, which has essentially the same engine).
