UPDATE 6/1: I went back to check the review for updates and I saw Bob's comment that they tried to contact me but I haven't responded yet . My school's spam filter blocked the message, so I'm glad they tried to contact me via a comment. I emailed support and got a response within an hour. No kidding, I thought that such good customer support was only heard in advertisements. Within a day they billed me for my defective unit and sent me a new tested one. The new dock works exactly as I remember this wonderful product when I first received it. This allows for a hassle-free dual screen, mouse, and keyboard connection with each of my three laptops. I'm right I would recommend purchasing not only because I love this product but also because I've never felt customer service care as much about my experience as they do. Congratulations to Plugable for their solid customer support. However, I emphasize the past tense. It's been about 7 or 8 months since I bought this product. This works very well. Some small graphics but nothing to worry about. This station sits on my desk all the time and is connected to the controller. Earlier this week I noticed that the front light was a bit dimmer and now only works with USB. We check why this happened: Lo and behold, the charging socket fell out of the circuit board and is rattling inside the box. How did he fall if the station doesn't move? Either the board is getting too hot or we are dealing with cold solder/board corrosion. Wouldn't recommend either, but again.
