Review on Enhanced CPU Cooling Fan Assembly for Apple MacBook Pro 15" A1286 (2008-2012) by Josh Cardoso

These fans look great out of the box. I installed it on my 2011 MacBook Pro but the ends of the cable don't fit into the small notch on the motherboard. They are a little big - both fans. They pop up and don't make a final connection to the logic board. Unfortunately it is useless. The tags say Sunon and they match the part numbers on my old fans exactly, but they don't match exactly. I called the manufacturer and they claim these fans are not of their manufacture. If that's true, maybe someone is giving these fans false labels? It's hard to believe. When they are made by Sunon, their customer service is non-existent.
