I bought this to run my compressor (220v) from a Generac generator in an outhouse where I needed my air nail gun. I made an extension cord with this plug on one end and a 220v socket in a handy box on the other end. I already had a handy box and socket, so I wanted to use it. The connector is well made, but the hole for the wire was too narrow for the braided cable I had, so I had to strip the outer insulation and tape the three wires around.
