I bought this almost four years ago so it's fair to say it's been a good test over four harsh Utah winters and three hot summers surpassed by at least one large Labrador and usually some of his friends were used. Before purchasing I was a bit confused about the price - three times the price of many of the cheaper dog doors I've tried over the years. But it was worth it - this one lasts and lasts, still protecting from cold and heat like the day it was installed. Not like the cheaper models. I highly recommend it. The only downside is the loud "click" when the dog goes in or out, but I'm used to that.
