Review on Weaver Leather Splint Xtended Closure by Janet Brown

I had several pairs of RES rail boots and loved them. Outstanding quality for the price. I was looking to add white to my collection when I found out that RES were selling the Weaver design and they assured me it would be the same. I managed to buy a pair at RES. It took me quite a while to find the Weaver set in white. These are not the same shoes. The once great elastic closure is far from perfect and is now extremely cheap in feel and function. The wonderful design of RES no longer exists. The size and shape are slightly different and the elastic is too long. were very hard. The metal rings have been replaced with plastic rings. Weaver, no matter what you do, you've taken a great thing and completely changed it at the expense of the product. I won't buy them again. This is not the same as RES.
