I bought this charger after my original one broke. The original lasted over two years and never gave me a problem. This went on for two months until my laptop refused to charge. I had to have the port repaired, which cost me over $150. After the repair I kept using this charger until the charger itself broke and this time just started smoking. The cable connecting the block to the wall melted at the point where it connected to the block and nearly set the electricity on fire. In short, this is a terrible, poor quality product and it is better to just buy a more expensive and official product.
