Some limitations but still a great all in one DVR and rear camera

My settings: 1. I used this with a Samsung Pro-Endurance 64GB and it worked right out of the box2. I have set the mirror to turn off after 1 minute so it can be used as a normal rearview mirror while driving.3. The rear camera mounts above the license plate with double-sided Gorilla mounting tape. My car has the license plate area recessed and the camera is rainproof. This is important because if water droplets collect on the lens, the light will be scattered and you won't see anything.4. I also tilt it down a bit to reduce glare at night (the angle is similar to the built-in rear camera on other cars). Limitations: 1. At night the video quality is ok, enough to see what's going on, but if the place isn't well lit you can't see the license plate. This is almost the same problem with all budget DVRs. I checked the reviews of more expensive dash cams on YouTube and they have a similar problem. The mirror's vertical space is limited, it can't show the full vertical field of view of the rear camera, so you have to scroll and choose which vertical section to show (and it remembers that angle). The problem is that if I pick a corner where the red line is 2 feet from my bumper, I can only see back about 3 feet. If I want to look further, the red line is 5-6 feet from my bumper, which isn't that helpful. That's pretty much a limitation for this type of all-in-one dash cam and backup camera. I ended up choosing the area where the red line is about 2 feet from my bumper.3. Because the mirror is attached to the factory mirror with rubber bands, it vibrates a bit on rough roads. It's just a minor annoyance as I just look at him and don't have to look at him the whole time. Pros: 1. Clear video quality during the day and decent video quality at night in well-lit areas.2. The LCD mirror is wide and clear. Responsive and intuitive user interface. It starts up quickly (about 3 seconds or so) and it's easy to tell if it's recording or not.3. The front camera merges and does not stand out. The rear camera isn't that inconspicuous, but overall it doesn't stand out too much.4. Very convenient universal DVR and backup camera.5. Excellent and responsive support team that cares about customer satisfaction. Overall, despite the limitations listed above, I am happy with the purchase as it is very convenient for everyday use. This made parallel parking much easier. For this price range, this is a great all-in-one DVR and backup camera.
