These spoons and forks are awesome. They are slightly curved (ergonomic) to make it easier for my 3 and 20 month olds to hold the spoon so the food doesn't spill out. Less mess = happier mom. The spoons also have a unique edge that appears to taper off the sides of the spoon to make it easier for smaller, less coordinated hands to pick up food on the spoon right from the start. Some of the plastic spoons in our household have lips that help hold the food in place on the spoon but primarily make it difficult to spread the food. I think chewing bead spoons are better in this regard. The fork bed is also slightly curved, like a spoon, to keep food on the utensil on the way to the mouth, which seems to work well for us. And I especially like that the end of the utensil is rounded and doesn't cause choking when chewing. My only daughter likes to put the end of the spoon and fork all the way back in her mouth and this cutlery doesn't allow that due to its shape and size which is amazing. One reviewer said they didn't fit well in her cutlery drawer, so I expected them to be quite bulky, but we had no problem with them - they fit our drawer perfectly. I highly recommend!
