The retail price is 3.39 but I ended up paying more because I needed it and couldn't find an extra long one locally. That being said, it's a great tape measure. It seems to be made of a sturdy reinforced vinyl and has inches on one side, inches and centimeters on the other. The metal end covers are fairly well finished so they haven't really gotten snagged on anything-sometimes really cheap ones get caught on fine materials. The only downside is that it doesn't have a case or strip of velcro to keep it closed. I ended up using a silicone hair band. It puts a little bend in it but not that bad.
