I loved her until my daughter did. I booked her on a week long beach trip to South Carolina where we go every year. The sand will burn your feet if you don't wear shoes. I figured this would keep hot sand from getting on her leg. They did. She's 4 years old so you can't wear her anymore if you carry stuff to the beach during the day. After a day at the beach it was time to head home. She started walking and started complaining that her shoes hurt her feet. I thought it was just the sand irritating her feet because they were sandy when she put her foot in. We returned to the house and I washed all the sand, letting it dry completely. I made sure her feet weren't wet or dirty as I put them back on her. She took a few steps and wailed that she was in pain. I let them take a few more steps to see if they slipped from behind. They weren't. I made her take off her shoes and looked at her feet. Her heels were bright red where the shoes were irritating her foot. I don't know how to describe it. The back seam was hard and pressed against the leg, causing redness. They weren't small either. I bought it a week before going to the beach and it had plenty of room. They actually fit perfectly. If they did the stitching somewhere else and softened the back, I'd love that! But I'm not a seamstress so I don't even know if that's possible.
