Review on Blackvue DR590W 2CH 16GB Dual Full HD Wi-Fi Dashcam: Keeping You Safe on the Road by Dave Hammon

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Got a horrible "GPS Error 1 " error after just 3 months, now it's broken.

Pros: - Wi-Fi connectivity - set and forget, no need to start recording manually - Works with large capacity MicroSD cards - lets you know if a bump has been detected in parking mode Cons: - Support is terrible. If you have problems, the seller will send you to the manufacturer who will push you back to the seller. If the product has a problem, they want you to cover the cost of shipping the product back to them so they can send it to China for repair and then ship it back to them and they will ship it back to me . It's just a few months without a DVR. - Copying videos over Wi-Fi takes too long. - To eject the microSD card you have to disable everything, that's bad design. - The GPS module and the rear camera module use the same connector and side by side again bad design. - poor night vision, someone tried to push me off the road, I was able to get behind them thinking my dashcam had their number, but no luck, it was totally blurry. Overall: Not the best DVR by far, but it's easier to get video on the fly. I could tell you more, but it only lasted 3 months. Not worth what I paid. I've had DVRs that cost 1/3 the price for the last 3 years.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Compatibility
