If you don't have a steel press, welding equipment and aren't willing to redesign the bracket to really fit your car, it won't fit. If it really fits, consider yourself lucky. Yes, it was half the price of the factory mount, but unless you value your time at around $0.50 an hour, you'll spend a lot more time fitting it, pinching your knuckles and cutting your fingers cut and curse and bend and hammer and curse and then stop, install a broken bracket you wanted to replace, return the part, order a factory part, wait for it to arrive, pick it up at a car dealership (yes, there were donuts ) than you would spend on a factory mount. The idea of cheap replacement parts is great, but only if they're actually replacing the part they're supposed to be replacing. What you are actually buying with it is not a spare but a test of patience which if you survive this could be of value in other challenges in your life but for me I was much happier when I got the factory part and the installation lasted about 25 minutes. from the first tool out of the box to washing your hands.
