Heavy and bulky but many advantages

UPDATE: 1 year and 3 months later. I am parting with this stroller. It's VERY difficult for me. Since my son just turned 4 years old in the same seat and is now 18 months old, I have to constantly use two hands to push and maneuver. Both children are doing great so far. Also, the 4 year old now walks 4 blocks back and forth to school almost every day when we pick up our second grader. I have a Joovy Caboose that I keep in the car because when I go shopping he keeps the old one (he still passes out in it for naps) but driving this thing is also tricky. I think Joovy needs to reevaluate their wheels, bearings or something. It's just that their strollers don't "slide" well. I recently bought a built in trike that has a second seat that attaches to the bottom. Now I no longer have to lug around a single and double stroller. I now carry a stroller and can add a second seat if my son runs away or is tired. Or I have the option of leaving the second seat folded up in the trunk. Anyway, we're almost past the twin stroller phase and I can just use my AMAZING Peg Perego booklet. (Seriously, the best stroller! I can wheel it around our neighborhood with my 25 lb 18 month old baby and a diaper bag with ONE FINGER!) that I've found the stroller of my dreams then I get upset about something or an new function appears. (My poor husband had a heart attack with 5 strollers in the garage at once.) With the birth of my 6th child I needed a double stroller again as there were 2 years between them. We have to walk 4 blocks to and from school every day for my preschooler and sometimes this 2 year old just MUST be buckled up! The last time I had a twin stroller I had a Combi Twin Savvy. So I found one on ebay and bought it. Bottom line - great for quick trips but not for the neighbor's stroller and no storage space. So I had to look for a double again. From the trays I choose the Joovy Scooter X2 in jet black. (I really wanted a Peg Perego book for two since I have a booklet and it's awesome! But I couldn't justify the price of $600 plus no shelves for a double bed. They're the same weight - both are heavy Pros: - Mine is incredibly big A 2 year old (now almost 3 year old) can VERY comfortably fit in. My huge 6 year old even climbed on it when he wasn't feeling well - Great sun canopies - HUGE storage baskets! I carry a lot with me all my older kids always bring a hoodie, ipad, water bottle, snacks etc. With 6 kids and a husband who can't carry anything alone it all adds up fast! Holidays! What can't be in all strollers? Great for sleeping for older kids, toddlers and for changing diapers in the stroller. TRAYS! How can you have a stroller without a tray? My kids have always wanted a goldfish when they went for a walk. With little ones need Si e just a tray. They are easy to open and close and also turn to the side. – Deep slope. By the time we got this my baby was 3 months old. old. She has no back tilt issues. My Graco car seat fits! It becomes the travel system! If I leave her tray in the car, her car seat clips just right on her side. Now I wouldn't walk on a trail or some crazy bumpy sidewalk. But it works great for a stroll through the mall or a quick trip to the store! Tall wheel. I'm 5'2 and that's a little tall for me. But my husband is 6'2 and doesn't mind pushing it. NONE OF US MAKES A MACHINE! cons-weight. THIS THING IS HEAVY! It takes me a long time to pick it up and put it in the trunk of my minivan. The size is HUGE. To go anywhere I have to take a stroller and everything in my trunk - usually a giant baseball bag for my eldest. Because of this and the weight of the stroller, I usually leave this stroller in the garage. I always have a stroller and a double stroller in the trunk. If I know we're going to a theme park, zoo, or mall, I swap everything. Stand. Why can't it stand folded? I don't want it on the floor of my garage. When I have it in my trunk it folds forward and I have to hold it while I close the trunk door. Cup holders and zippered pockets on the back of the stroller are currently useless. We live in Memphis and it's HOT! (Currently 110 heat index.) In order to be able to walk at all, I roll up the back of each seat to allow more air into the stroller. NOTHING TO HOLD YOU! No velcro, small straps or the like. I have to stack them over the canopy. When the top is closed, I can put them in the folds of the top. THEN WHAT. It also means I can't use cup holders or storage bags on the back of the stroller. So I had to buy an organizer for double strollers. Not a big deal, but it costs an extra $25. - There are cracks near the part you twist to close the stroller. For $250 I wasn't happy and sent photos to Joovy. They immediately replied that everything was fine and that the stroller was under warranty in case there were any problems in the future. (Others have mentioned this as well.) Others have complained that the stroller will stop or throw the kids forward if you hit a crack or bump in the sidewalk. It happened to me once. THEN WHAT. The sidewalk sank and was about 2 inches higher than the rest of the sidewalk. The carriage immediately stopped and the children were carried on. Luckily they were fully strapped in so no damage was done. NOT overrun. I wonder how fast people walked/ran with the stroller. (Yes, I've seen some dads at our local zoo RUNNING with the signature Graco stroller.) THIS IS NOT A RUNNING STROLLER AND KEEP YOUR KIDS BEAUTIFUL! My kids didn't mind using the sun visor either. Looking for a great price. But what I was looking for made it heavy, bulky and difficult to transport. If you frequently throw it out of the trunk, this stroller may not be for you. If you're looking for lots of walks that older kids can enjoy, then this is great.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
