We have lived in our house for 11 years and in that time have replaced almost all the lights and fans. The last thing left was the fan in the master bedroom. Everything, it was strange. It looked like a Victorian starship with cheaply veneered rudders. I have never seen such a fan before or since. It was so heavy they had to attach a large plank of wood to the base, and it wobbled like crazy when you cranked the fan past the minimum. I was ready for this. This fan is great - like day and night on a spaceship. It's fresh, clean and modern without being too crazy or industrial. Our home is a simple mid '60's ranch, so we don't need anything too bad. Also, our ceilings are low, we needed something that could wrap around the ceiling. This is perfect for our needs. My husband was able to assemble it very easily. The only problem he had was that the wires in my house were too short. He swears by it every time he does something like this. He also made it "smart" by using some kind of Alexa-enabled switch. While he was working on it we used the remote and it works great. It's a pretty weird remote with different icons, but it gets the job done. Fan? Wow. It can move some air and is not noisy at all! We are very happy!
