Do not be shy! Buy it, you won't regret it!

I have to say I was a bit skeptical about this product when I first heard about it. After some recommendations from friends (and finding another solution for clogged hair) I went ahead and bought it. There are 3 women in our family, 2 with short hair and 1 with long hair, not to mention that several family members come to visit for a month with several people with longer hair. Oh, and a medium haired dog that gets washed in the shower. Tried 3 other sink catchers while waiting for this one to arrive. None of them survived, and frankly, they were gross to clean. I removed the metal bracket with a screwdriver and put the mushroom in place (as per the printed instructions on the box), at first it looked weird and was sticking out a bit (the instructions tell you this is normal) and my mom thought so I had dropped a giant button in the shower (sort of upstairs). The first shower was a complete success. Not only was the water able to drain properly (goodbye, standing in the tub in a puddle of your own dirty water!), but the hair fell into a trap without collecting at the top (so it wasn't visible to the showerer). When I finished I didn't think it would work as all the hair was fused, I didn't realize it was dripping into the coil. Any hair that fell off was actually caught and is very, very easy to remove from the spool. I grabbed a tissue, just "ripped off" my hair and threw out the trash. Voila! I don't know why I've ever hesitated. I love it so much and it's so useful I'm including it in all my housewarming gifts. It's an item you never knew you needed or needed. But now that I have it, I feel a lot better.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
