TubShroom Revolutionary Protector Catcher Strainer Review

Works very well. My hair collection has grown significantly. I might have enough to find a hair boyfriend soon. I'll try the first full moon. Seriously, look at all the dog hair that would fly down my drain after just one dog bath. Yes.

It works, but there's no good way to clean it. I've tried everything, but the holes quickly fill up with mold. The shampoo product plus the fact that it can never dry creates a mess that needs to be cleaned up later. If you want to clean this every week this works fine, but for everyone else I'd try something different.

I used a colander to collect all the hair from the drain and it worked fine. I saw Tubshroom and decided to give it a try. It collects the hair, but completely slows down the drainage of the bath water. After all, you're standing in a puddle while showering and all your hair and soap are now in the tub. I went back to a sieve.

I was very excited to see him on Shark Tank. I have long hair and I've shed a lot so this was perfect for me. I quickly found that it needed cleaning after every shower (more so than my previous siphon), which was a bit annoying. And after about a month of use, the thing was so disgustingly moldy that even after trying to clean it, it was so damaged I threw it away. Switched to metal. Wouldn't buy this again.

Update #2: 2.5 years later I only had to unclog the drain once and I think it was just the soapy water. Update: over a year later and I still have to clean the drain! I am one of those people who clogs the shower drain with my hair. It got to the point where I brushed my hair well before going in and then kept the brush in the shower to wind up excess hair while shampooing and STILL clogged the drain every 6 weeks or so. AMAZING! A must for families with long bald hair! Doesn't fit my bathtub drain very well, but fits well enough.
