I have never written a review before but decided to write a review as I have been using this product for a few months now. Often times people write reviews when they are using it for the first time so I thought I would shed some light on how this product is working for me after 3 months. I originally bought this in March for 3.5 gallons but upgraded to 5 gallons in May and I have to say this light works great! I have low light plants as well as floating plants and they are thriving. In a few weeks I had a full carpet of pearl oysters and too many floating plants! Actually I was very hesitant to buy this light but it works and I have no complaints. It works better than the other flashlight I bought for my 4 gallon which was more expensive. I don't know if you can grow red plants in this light, I don't think the light is strong enough, but for bright plants in low light it works! Two photos were taken 2 weeks ago and one recently. As you can see, pearl algae has really decreased and I couldn't be happier!
