I love this product for applying back lotion. You may have to experiment a little to find the right lotion—not too flashy, not too thick—but it's great for applying lotion to your back. I will say when my skin is drier, like in winter, I need to use a lotion applicator every day. This is because the applicator applies a very thin layer of moisturizer to the back. Although it doesn't apply a thick layer of moisturizer, I wouldn't want it because I can't get to areas to massage it in. I mention this because initially I didn't like how little moisturizer it was. on my back but it allows me to get dressed right away and once I started using it regularly that little layer of moisturizer was applied regularly and improved the condition of my skin.
