I (WAS) had a chrome faucet and drain plug that was badly scratched and dull. I first bought Simicrome, that shined very well and very slightly. It was beautiful and I was very happy. The problem was that the next few uses of the sink, a dull finish would form on the drain plug. It was difficult to erase and kept coming back. I don't know what the chemistry is, but I'm wondering if the soap bonded to the "protective coating" that Simicrome puts on things. Anyway, I then ordered the BlueMagic Polishing Cream and wondered if it would work any other way, and it did. ! It was even easier to use than Simichrome, it showed everything through perfectly and best of all there was no matte film on the drain plug. I wash it several times a day with soap and water and everything shines like the first buffing. I am very happy with it.
