Review on PolarPro Katana Mavic Cinema Tray by Jay Koterba

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is now a MUST HAVE for a Mavic Pro owner!

I know what you're thinking. "$45.50 for a piece of plastic that looks clunky and goofy?" ANSWER: Yes, yes, and yes again. You paid over $1,000 for this Mavic Pro and you know you don't fly this expensive toy often enough. Yes, incredibly high-quality aerial photography with this combination of a stunning aircraft and a high-tech 4K camera with 3-axis gimbal. That's the key to this product. You don't fly enough with this amazing 4K camcorder, so how about some 3-axis stabilized footage on the ground? Use this amazing 3-axis camera gimbal combo on a flat surface like a regular camcorder. A double duty on you is an expensive toy lying around between flights. Yes, it might look a little clunky, but the way Polar Pro (or someone else) designed it doesn't feel clunky in the slightest. Yes, it's more than a superduper new 4K mini camera, but your Mavic can also capture 4K from the sky and travel over 2 miles to snap a picture. Why not let him do your ground shots too? And that expensive 4K ground camcorder doesn't have 3-axis stabilization and can't fly ;-) It's not difficult for me to use my Mavicas, a stabilized 4K camcorder, and still shoot on solid ground.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
