I wear a size 8 in clothing, but for stretchy underwear I get a large, so that it doesn't stretch to fit. These are so tight in the "Soft logo elastic waistband" that they hurt and leave an ugly mark. I measured the elastic waistband, unstretched it is 26".where is that a size large? Sure you can stretch it to almost 40", but that digs into your flesh. I bought 3 sets, many I never wore.feeding them to the trash goblins. All the 5 star reviews are printed on the first page, the reviews that rightfully complain about the stiff, tight waistband are buried.
