I bought a LaserJet Pro MFP-M277dw printer and have had only HP printers, both LaserJet and InkJet, for 25 years. I highly recommend HP cartridges over all generic brands as they are really good quality and match their products. The use of normal LaserJet cartridges or cheap printer ink (refilling ink cartridges in discount stores) only leads to expensive repairs on your HP printer and, in the worst case, can lead to you voiding any guarantees on HP printers. With an expired printer - why take the risk - it's not worth the risk as you may have to buy a brand new printer!. I strongly recommend using only HP Laser Jet or HP Ink Jet cartridges in your printers. I also recommend ordering the correct HP color number followed by an "X" when reordering Laser Jet cartridges, which means you won't have to replace the cartridges as often as they print about 80% more pages than the ones that came with yours Cartridge supplied cartridge printer with "A" at the end of the "X" verses.
