heater works well. As many here have said, the included "spin clamps" will leak. However, I already knew this. I drove from Hydor. Hydors have the same problem. In my opinion this device is vastly superior to Hydor, which I have had two of. When working with built-in aquarium equipment, always assume that: ALWAYS USE WORM CLAMPS. It's just basic prevention. No one wants 30-200 gallons of aquarium water on the floor. Never use swivel clamps like this heater or plastic compression clamps. Just go to Home Depot and buy worm gears. As for the heating function, it works fantastic. Seems to be accurate. The fact that it's in Celsius doesn't matter. Within 30 seconds on the phone you can do the conversion. The readout display is very nice compared to the Hydor; which basically just told you if it was on or off. The digital dial is much more accurate than the rotating Hydor dial. In general I'm happy. I would give it 5 stars (and want to keep) 2 things: 1) Clamps or lack thereof. I wish these companies would start delivering the real deal. 2) I don't have a shelf life report as I've only been using it for a week.
