Steps are small and slippery

Steps and a catwalk are a nice idea, but the steps really need to be a bit taller to give cats more space to rest. Also, the steps are slippery and there is no way for cats to climb them or even catch themselves if they slip. My cats didn't bother until I put carpet on the steps and asked my husband to carpet two more steps so they could get to the bridge without jumping too high. Now that I've fixed the issues my cats love it - they play with it all the time!
