Advantages: Outstanding workmanship. They are real metal and appear to be quite durable. The locking mechanism with a folding lever makes them easy to adjust and they stay where you put them. -flexible, rubberized plastic. The sound is more transparent than other microphones in this price range. Cons: Sound is a bit muffled and boomy, needs some EQ. General Thoughts: These mics can deliver decent sound quality with a little tweaking. They won't perform as well as an expensive studio quality mic set, but if money is tight these are the best budget choices I've found in the sub-$500 range. I don't think I would buy drum mics for less than this if you are arguing between them and a cheaper set. Microphones are definitely an investment to consider as they usually last a long time and also have a big impact on the sound quality your audience hears.
