Great Entry-level Microphone Set - Condenser Boom Microphones GUT

This is a great entry-level microphone set. All microphones work perfectly. I wish the kick drum mic had a lower frequency response. Two overhead condenser mics are very good. They are universal. I've also used them to mimic acoustic instruments (stereo guitar, one on the bridge, one on the fretboard) and they did a great job.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Something's Wrong

Good sound for the money and versatile.

Comes with a wide range of microphones. (NOTE: The kit does not include overhead mics, I would buy separate overhead mics which are better than the ones in the 7 pack). Surprisingly, it also comes with XLR cables for each mic and mounts for everything but the kick mic. It's definitely not going to sound like a million dollar record. But if you know how to place your mics and how to mix and master your recordings, you'll get more than decent sound at a surprisingly good price.

Pros
  • Always popular
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Best value for money, you won't be disappointed.

These microphones are worth their price. I bought them for live sound and couldn't be happier. I was expecting to pay $500 to $1,000 for a decent drum mic, but I took a chance because I was on a tight budget. I've always trusted Shure mics as the gold standard when it comes to the best quality for the price, and I wasn't wrong. I've been using an Audix mic set for a while with good results and have to say it's just as good or even better for a lot less money. You will not be disappointed.

Pros
  • Brilliantly finished
Cons
  • Loudness

Worked well in a studio environment.

take them into the studio and put them on all day drum sessions after I got them. They worked great! You don't get the sound of a top-notch $10,000 mic kit, but you do get pro-level sound quality and plenty of useful mics. They offer great sound for drums and amps, the only issue I had was that they clip easily compared to Beta or Senheisers, but with some skill they will sound great in the studio and work great live. Location. If you need a drum kit and don't want to spend over $1,000 to get…

Amazing kit but a bit overkill

Great kit! The only thing that bothers me is that there is no way to store cables in the carry case. Be sure to get a hard case with this one. I've found the Condition 1 and Pelican Firearm Cases to be a great option for storing these items in a secure, watertight, and stackable crate. To be honest this setup is a bit overkill in terms of usage for most applications. For rooms with a capacity of around 200 to 500 people, you can easily get by with just 3 microphones and get great sound. Kick…

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Long wait

Best drum microphones in this price range

Advantages: Outstanding workmanship. They are real metal and appear to be quite durable. The locking mechanism with a folding lever makes them easy to adjust and they stay where you put them. -flexible, rubberized plastic. The sound is more transparent than other microphones in this price range. Cons: Sound is a bit muffled and boomy, needs some EQ. General Thoughts: These mics can deliver decent sound quality with a little tweaking. They won't perform as well as an expensive studio quality mic

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Suitable for
