Review on 🥤 THERMOS Stainless King Travel Tumbler, 16oz Vacuum-Insulated, Matte Steel by Lance Story

I got one of these for Christmas two years ago and it was THE BEST. This mug literally keeps the liquid warm for 6-8 hours. That's great. Wonderful. Nothing in this review belies the fact that this was once a great mug. This would be a 5 star rating unless I am assuming Thermos have switched to cheaper parts or there has been some sort of glitch in their production in the last year. I bought one for my wife and within a week (without mishandling) the rotary switch on the lid broke. Not the part you touch, but something in the cap broke when you opened/closed the filler hole. As a result, the thermos stuck open, as always, and was unsuitable for travel. Damn. We must have gotten a bad one, right? So I spent money on a replacement. Exactly the same thing happened again within a week and with no abuse. Thermos stays open as always. It's clear that either the entire batch had a manufacturing defect, or Thermos switched to cheaper parts. We messaged Thermos asking for a replacement but they refused to replace two cups. They offered to ship ONE replacement part if we agreed to ship it. No thank you. Shame as my original mug was so pretty but we will no longer be investing in thermals.
