Wears out quickly!: Thermos

First of all good, I agree with all the positive reviews as long as the mug is new, and then everything goes downhill. I bought 4 of these cups, all 4 have problems. The biggest problem is the broken lid. The seal will peel off the metal and the lid will twist if you try to remove it from the mug. Now it takes a screwdriver and a husband to remove it. This was done with two circles. The next problem is that the open/closed lid wears out so you won't know what condition your mug is in without…

Difficult to clean for glasses

This mug is a scrap factory. The lid is terribly complex and you have to take it apart to clean it properly. Skip a complete disassembly for about a week and you'll end up with a buildup of junk. I thought I could get away with just a splash from the sink, but no. The only reason I kept it is because it has a "fountain" on the lid. I struggle with a travel mug and like the hot contents to be poured down the fountain first so I can drink normally from there. Small holed cups either let me burn…

Old thermos = great. Ordered last year = broken after a week.

I got one of these for Christmas two years ago and it was THE BEST. This mug literally keeps the liquid warm for 6-8 hours. That's great. Wonderful. Nothing in this review belies the fact that this was once a great mug. This would be a 5 star rating unless I am assuming Thermos have switched to cheaper parts or there has been some sort of glitch in their production in the last year. I bought one for my wife and within a week (without mishandling) the rotary switch on the lid broke. Not the part

Tough, sealed and kept warm for six years

If you want to know how using the product 5 days a week, every week for *six* years has affected the product see please look at the picture. I got one as a Christmas present six years ago and used it literally every day until I decided it was time to buy a second one. I love this thermos travel glass. Totally leak proof once closed - I tossed it in my bag and never once worried. Stays hot for hours when filled with hot liquid. Perfect for drinking on the road in your car to work - just make…

100% tight except when it's not.

I really liked this cup. It was working great until this did. It kept everything hot or cold for a very long time depending on your drink preference. I researched carefully before buying as in my disappointed life I do it for everyone with every purchase. Pros: - Keeps you hot and cold - 100% airtight - Comfortable shape - Easy to drink lid Cons: - 0% airtight, ugh, even on a slightly cold day it looks like the "tongue on the pole stage" from A Christmas story . Better wear gloves. It gets very

stay away for your health

Well, it was a real love story between me and a thermos mug. I got my first thermos mug about 9 years ago and this mug was perfect except for two things: 1: It was difficult to clean so you can't use a drink with milk. 2: The paint peeled off and looked ugly in less than 4 months. I still loved it and used it as it was for a few years. After using it for 4 years I left the US and had to put it behind me. I just got back to Chicago and figured winter is coming and it would be nice to get the…
