I'm wearing the socks in the picture with my Vans and you can't see them at all. I also like that they are thin so they don't feel bulky in my shoes. I've walked in it too and the rear handles are nice because they don't slip when you walk. I have kids size 3 in shoes and I have size 8-12. I would say they are a bit big but I think once I wash and dry them they are perfect.
