I am 5'7" and weigh 9200 pounds and ordered XL. Nice thick material, I didn't need a body shaper underneath but if you have a lot of pads you might need 1 to smooth them out. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. Reasonable price and can be dressed up or down. I have it in red and black
