I've had the adapter for 2 months now and it's already defective. The device gets a little warm, but this is not a problem. In my case the problem is where the power cord enters the device. The female socket (part of the block) is loose, so any movement causes a loss of power. On two occasions it took more than 30 minutes for the power cord to turn back on. It's only a matter of time before the customization fails completely and earns me a $50 paperweight.
