I installed it in my van. The original single halogen bulb just didn't fit. The wires between each light are quite short. I'm sure it would be just right in a smaller car. I had to splice about a foot of wire between each so I could separate them. I connected them directly to the battery with a fuse between them and put a toggle switch near the back door. The effort was worth it. When I flip the switch, it's very bright inside. I'd say it's close to daylight. The photo I added was taken on my phone at night with no flash. Time will tell how well they hold up, but so far I'm happy.
