Quality: The bag has good seams and a smooth opening mechanism. However, it does not have the look and feel of the highest quality vegetable tanned leather. The inside label says "genuine leather". Design: The bottom of the backpack straps are attached horizontally to the bottom of the bag, so they dig into the sides when the bag is worn as a backpack. There is also an internal laptop sleeve on the opposite side of the pocket from the backpack's straps. This makes the bag rather uncomfortable as a backpack.
