Review on 🐢 Pink Camouflage Suitical Dog Recovery Suit by Melissa Welter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow, this article saved a life!

I purchased a recovery suit after my Golden Retriever underwent major surgery that involved multiple stitches or staples on the back, sides and chest. She has a horrible bump, and while it does a great job of discouraging her from biting or licking wounds with her mouth, it doesn't stop her from scratching them with her hind legs. On the second day post-surgery, I was nervous trying to keep her paws away from the surgical site. I was feverishly searching for an answer when I came across the Suitical Recovery Suit on Revain. I was afraid my dog would get too hot or chew a hole in it. As it turns out, I'm very glad I tried it. We're now on day five post-op and while I'm in a suit she doesn't even try to scratch. I don't even have to put a cone on her during the day while I'm at her house. It doesn't look overheated or hot in that regard, but it's air-conditioned inside. The costume is easy to put on for my dog and she seems to enjoy wearing it. It can be pulled over the head like a sweater and held in place with snaps at the bottom. It easily detaches for potty breaks. It's a stretchy material that fits snugly to the body and I think that's why it offers some comfort. She can do anything she normally does when wearing it and it doesn't bind anywhere. I like the high neckline because part of her surgery was high on her shoulders so the suit's high neckline helps keep the seams closed but is breathable so there are no healing issues. There is a blue pocket on the inside of the suit that looks like you could put a cool or warm backpack in it, but I haven't had a reason to try it yet. I bought a very large suit for my 78 pound golden retriever, 29 inches from head to tail. It fits her very well, although it can get a little baggy in the buttocks. However, this does not affect the functioning of the suit. I would highly recommend this suit for a dog that doesn't normally chew a lot. I would not leave a dog alone in the suit after surgery as they will not get bites or serious scratches. But for my situation, it completely eliminates all of that, and I have a happy, comfortable dog 5 days post-op. However, if necessary, some thoughts should be exchanged to ensure that I am providing you with information that will be helpful in your situation when deciding to purchase a costume for your dog. Made of elastic material that is slightly thicker than usual. shirt. If the bitch wanted, it would be very easy for her to bite a hole in the suit or even tear it to shreds. My dog never tried it but we kept him under constant supervision throughout the day. 2. Even though my dog slept in her suit every night, I put her cone on before bed too and took it off first thing in the morning. This allowed me to sleep with enough confidence that she wouldn't chew on my suit or the seams at night. 3. At the end of 10 days, the suit is very baggy at the bottom. I would probably be fine with a large rather than very large size for my 78 pound golden retriever.
