Review on 🍳 Lightweight Backpacking Cooking Set | OuterEQ Camping Cookware Outdoor Mess Kit | Picnic Pots and Pans by Shakim Yates

Lightweight but only suitable for 1-2 people

I bought this set to take something small with me when I go camping. I have used it primarily on my MSR single burner camp stove which works great. I've also tried using it for cooking over hot coals; but the pans are so small that they are really difficult to handle and easily burned. They're definitely not non-stick, but they're not exactly terrible either. After making a few grilled cheese sandwiches in the pan, there was a lot of burnt cheese on top of the cheese, so I just poured in some water and let it simmer over hot coals for a while; then it was pretty easy to scratch. The little sponge and wooden spoon they give you is a nice gift, but in general the spoon is too short to safely keep your hand away from the heat and the sponge is very soft and not good for scraping stuck food. Another issue I had was the frying pan handle. When they first arrived they were pretty solid and seemed solid, but after the first heat the metal must have softened and now they're flopping. I solved this problem somewhat by attaching carabiners to the handles, but in an ideal world there would be a way to snap them together once opened. Overall this is a reasonable cook set for 1 or 2 people. Especially for the price. There are things that could definitely be improved, but if you're looking for a simple and lightweight set, you can do worse. But by no means should you underestimate how small they are. The pan barely fits a slice of regular bread, so cook one at a time.
