I inherited my grandmother's cast iron skillets. Due to the amount of time she last used them and I acquired them, there was quite a bit of rust. This made cleaning the rust off so much easier and did not take the seasoning off the pans to my amazement. Cleaning the chainmail was done in the dishwasher and it came out just fine. If you never had cast iron pans before and don't know how to clean them, this will make it so much easier on you and will keep you from taking the seasoning off. Highly recommend!
