Good product but needs better fixing to the wall

The idea is good, but you need a rubber or at least a sanding back. I went to the local hardware store and bought a large outlet cover. Standard outlet covers are too small and show a gap when the shelf slides down and it slides down. Large outlet covers fit perfectly. I had to put a gasket over the screws holding the socket in place to get it right since the back of the shelf is about 1/16" thick. Shelves or glue a thin piece of rubber to the back, as there is simply no way to prevent the shelf from tipping, the tilt is slight, but the shelf presses so hard on the socket that the socket will tip, no matter how strong you tighten the screws that hold the socket attached to the box. The manufacturer could solve this problem by making the backing more abrasive, or providing double sided tape, or sticking some rubberized strips on the back, but unfortunately you have to do this. This is for you if you want that the shelf doesn't lean to the right or left. But when you do, the shelf looks and works well.

Pros
  • EASY TO INSTALL. Easily transform cluttered spaces in three simple, no-fuss steps. Simply remove the faceplate, replace with the existing faceplate and screws (included) and start using your new shelf!
Cons
  • A long time ago
