Makes excellent coffee. Very soft and aromatic. The manual isn't very helpful as it's in Japanese, but a lot of the information online is in English. My first pot was a disaster because I forgot to hang the filter chain on the bottom of the pipe. Once I figured it out, great coffee ever since. Just in case, I bought a converter from 110 to 100 volts. It's a lot more work than using my drip coffee maker, but it's part of the experience. An electric heater is quicker and hassle-free than an alcohol or butane torch and is much less expensive than a halogen heater. In case you are wondering, Twinbird is a Japanese company that has partnered with Hario (supplier of glass jars) for this product.
