I bought this because it has a timer. I was afraid that if I use another one with only on/off, I often forget to turn it off and increase my electricity bill. However, I had to sacrifice two features that other devices have - some of them are wider or taller, and I would have preferred brushed steel to shiny steel. So bad buy. It doesn't go with the rest of the bathroom and I can fit exactly a bath towel in a fold and drape over the front. and vice versa - hardly. I also don't like that the cable is only on the right side like some competitors. too much of. I have an outlet on the left, so I need to route the cord down. around the toilet and get an extension cord etc. Also the on/off buttons, 1 hour, 2 hours are too high and the red light stays on constantly even when the unit is off. On a positive note, the installation instructions are the best I've seen - a full color little booklet.
