Hard screen tablet for advanced illustrators

I've been doing digital art for about 6 years and have realized it's high time to upgrade my 10 year old Wacom Bamboo tablet. I've seen some positive reviews on Huion tablets from artists I follow and I was so happy to see much cheaper prices on their screen tablets. I've been using mine for over 3 months now and thought I'd share my experience with anyone who might be considering this purchase. I find this tablet perfect for illustrators who work a lot and want to keep it simple. and improve their workflow, and don't mind/prefer to work in a smaller area. When I do traditional work I usually use a 5.5 x 8.5 inch sketchbook, so I knew the Huion Kamvas Pro 12 would have more than enough space for me. Pen misalignment or loss of pressure sensitivity. I also appreciate the more ergonomic shape of the tablet stylus, which fits comfortably in your hand and feels very natural when in the right position to access the stylus's two buttons. The design of the tablet itself is very elegant and rivals or even surpasses many Wacom designs. The buttons on the side are unobtrusive, the cable port is recessed for stability and doesn't bother me, and the weight and thickness are perfect, it's not so thin that you'd be afraid to break it but definitely not heavy and clunky . The texture of the screen itself strikes a good balance of not being so slippery that the stylus doesn't stick, but also not so textured that it disturbs the hand drawing where it rests on the screen. I had to google a bit. and troubleshooting to set up my tablet for my Mac first. For those who want to use their Huion screen product with a Mac, some settings in System Preferences and Permissions need to be changed in order for it to function properly as a second screen while still communicating with the tablet pen. HuionTablet software application is very easy to use to map buttons to different functions and change your own pen pressure curve. I really wish the tablet's screen settings could also be controlled via an app rather than the tablet's native UI itself, but that's a very minor nitpick in the overall scheme of things. Onscreen color can be quite desaturated initially, and I'm still working on finding the perfect balance between saturation and brightness, but there are many ways to toggle different aspects of what's on screen. There was no felt included with the tablet, there was a stand of some sort, but I don't feel like I was bought out for not having it included. This tablet comes complete with everything you need to create artwork. Over the past few months of using this tablet, I have noticed a significant increase in productivity and overall efficiency in my workflow. Working with sketches and ideas is particularly improved with this tablet, as the process is more like working directly on paper. Overall, I'm very happy with this tablet and hope to use it for many years to come. It's money well spent in my opinion, especially considering how much cheaper the Huion compares to Wacom without sacrificing much quality.
