Bought for an adult autistic male with sensory issues who likes a hug when he is worried. For this purpose it works fine. I tried it and found that the compression works very well and the three settings give a good range of comfort. We don't actually use the vibration setting, but it does what you'd expect. I would like a little more heat from this setting, but we don't need heat for our purposes either, so I can't judge that too well. Short battery life so keep your charger handy if you don't leave it plugged in. I'm glad we bought it, it offers comfort and warmth to its user. This will help him calm down.
