I'm 5ft 8" and 125lbs. My shirt size is usually small and I ordered a regular size vest. The size was a little smaller than expected as it is thin I wanted the vest to be at least hip-length but the length was just above the waist. Ordered a brown faux leather vest. The vest is fastened vertically, slightly off center. Three zipped pockets on the front. and on the sides of the vest. There are also button down clips with straps at the bottom and a faux pocket that is for design only. They contained no functionality. It looks cute with a zipper, but I prefer to leave the zippers undone and the side collars undone. It rises quite oddly because one collar has a zipper and the other doesn't. The non-zippered side will snag when you close the vest. The vest does have weight despite being made out of faux leather, but it wasn't uncomfortable to wear.
