Review on I-OGEAR 2-Port Cinema 4K DisplayPort KVM Switch with Complete Cable Set (GCS62DP) by James Womble

Not for gaming ultra wide!

I am buying this Iogear 4k KVM Displayport to use with my Gaming PC (running Strix 2080ti) and my Razer 15 base (upgraded RAM to 32GB @ 3200Hz and 2 x 2TB m.2 nvme ) connected to Core X-Chroma. with EGVA 2080ti Black. All of this hardware is gsynced to a Predator X34 at 3440 x 1440p at 100Hz, but I couldn't get it to run consistently above 60Hz! I tried turning off gsync and messing around with Hz but the screen was flickering all over the place which started to irritate me and hurt my eyes. fortunately the same continued. I used at least 6 different DP cables, plugged them into different USB ports and updated the firmware. Nothing seems to change the constant flickering. I'll go back and buy a cheaper 1.4 DP bidirectional switch and see if it's better, after all I use different peripherals in each setup so I don't need any ports other than DP. Let's see how it goes. Not recommended for ultrawide. I don't have another monitor to try, otherwise I would. Later I will try the ConnectPro UDP2-12AP Display Port KVM Switch and see if it shows what it describes. Purchase at your own risk.
