Review on Targus Universal 2K Laptop Docking Station: Single 2K/Dual HD Video, Charging Power, Audio, 4 USB 3.0 Ports - PC, Mac & Android - Gray/Black (DOCK120USZ) by Tim Hull

The only thing I personally don't like about this DOCK160USZ is Targus' decision to use a "MicroUSB" 3.0 connector, which is very thin and flat. I find this style of USB connector to be less reliable than the larger, almost square type, and I've had several external drives where the flimsy ribbon cable bends or breaks too easily. If it's sitting in one spot on your desk, that shouldn't be a problem. When traveling with it, always unplug the USB cable carefully to avoid bending it, and position it during use so that there is never voltage on the connector. I plugged it in and Windows 10 loaded all the drivers automatically. Before I could get to the Targus support driver page to download the video driver for this DOCK160USZ, Windows 10 magically turned on my second monitor connected to this dock. The driver that Windows loads is slightly older than the one on the Targus website. It actually displays 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, which is confirmed by my Dell P2715Q OSD showing the current resolution and Hz on the screen. Connected via DisplayPort. The Dell P2715Q doesn't have an HDMI 2.0 port, so it can only output 4K@30Hz over HDMI, but its DisplayPort can transmit 4K@60Hz. I actually have nothing but 4K with an HDMI 2.0 connection. I know someone who has a 4K TV so I'll try to bring it home. I'll update the review after I've had a chance to test all the ports.
