The mount is very strong and secure and comes with clear instructions, a template and a mini spirit level to make installation easy. You also get different hardware kits for different sizes (and mounting styles) of different TVs. If you can use the included screws and position the bracket so they're in the wall studs, there's virtually no chance your TV will go anywhere. This could almost be seen as an unnecessary safety margin. I would estimate my 50 inch weighs around 30 pounds and I think this mount can easily carry five times that amount. Even an old plasma TV is safe if you install it properly.
