I would recommend if you can use up a gallon in 6-8 months otherwise you may experience unexpected mold growth like mine. The clear soap suddenly took on a brown/yellowish hue and mixed with white fibers. Upon further inspection inside the container, I found more of these, clumps, as well as some of your typical blue-green fuzzy mold on the surface. There was no rancid odor and the soap smelled the same as when it was first used, the mold just absorbed the remaining product. discarding everything else in frustration.
